Deploy Virtual Machine On AWS Cloud

To deploy a virtual machine (VM) in Amazon Web Services (AWS), you’ll need to create and launch an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you deploy a VM in AWS:

  1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console: Go to https://aws.amazon.com/ and click on “Sign In to the Console”. Enter your email address and password to sign in.
  2. Navigate to the EC2 Dashboard: Once you’re signed in, click on “Services” in the top-left corner, then click on “EC2” under the “Compute” section.
  3. Launch a new instance: On the EC2 Dashboard, click on the “Instances” link in the left-hand menu, then click on the “Launch Instance” button.
  4. Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI): The first step in creating a new instance is to choose an AMI, which is a template that contains the software configuration for your instance. You can choose from a variety of AMIs provided by AWS, or you can search for custom AMIs created by other AWS users. Select the AMI you want to use and click on “Select”.
  5. Choose an instance type: Next, you’ll need to choose the hardware configuration for your instance. AWS offers a variety of instance types optimized for different use cases. Select the instance type that best meets your needs and click on “Next: Configure Instance Details”.
  6. Configure instance details: On this page, you can configure various settings for your instance, such as the number of instances you want to launch, the network settings, and the IAM role. Make any necessary changes and click on “Next: Add Storage”.
  7. Add storage: By default, your instance will have a root volume based on the AMI you selected. You can add additional storage volumes if needed. Configure the storage settings as needed and click on “Next: Add Tags”.
  8. Add tags: Tags are optional but can help you organize and manage your instances. You can add key-value pairs as tags. Click on “Next: Configure Security Group” when you’re done.
  9. Configure security group: A security group acts as a virtual firewall for your instance, controlling inbound and outbound traffic. You can create a new security group or select an existing one. Make sure to configure the necessary rules to allow traffic to and from your instance. Click on “Review and Launch” when you’re done.
  10. Review and launch: Review your instance settings and make any necessary changes. When you’re ready to launch your instance, click on the “Launch” button.
  11. Select a key pair: Before launching your instance, you’ll need to select a key pair to use for connecting to your instance. You can choose an existing key pair or create a new one. Make sure to download the private key file (.pem) if you create a new key pair, as you’ll need it to connect to your instance. Click on “Launch Instances” when you’re done.
  12. Launch status: AWS will now launch your instance. You can view the launch status and see if there are any issues. Once your instance is running, you can connect to it using the key pair you selected and the public IP address or DNS name provided by AWS.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully deployed a VM in AWS using EC2.
